Joi Ito at MIT says, innovators “use compass, not maps” when venturing into new terrain. Google tell their staff to “steer by compass, not speedometer”. Try this exercise if you want to clarify where you should be heading – and why – with your project. Keep coming back to the goal compass as the project unfolds, to make sure you’re still heading in the right direction.
